Welcome To Sherry's Big D Climb Personal Fundraising Page
Welcome To My Big D Climb Personal Fundraising Page.
As you know, I lost my mom, Maxine Smith, to AML (acute myeloid leukehmia) on June 10, 2015. She, thankfully, didn't suffer long (8 days) with this disease. The diagnosis, for us all, was a HUGE shock. I have decided to join this event in her memory and hope to raise funds to help find a cure for this awful disease.
Love to all,
What is the Big D Climb?
The Big D Climb is a stair climb up 70 stories of Bank of America Plaza in Downtown Dallas. Although it will be challenging, it pales in comparison to what blood cancer patients go through. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Who is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society?
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested more than $600 million for research specifically targeting blood cancers.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
