Alex Agnor is Climbing for a Cure!
On January 28th I will be climbing for a cure in the 9th Annual Big D Climb to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Big D Climb reached new heights last year and continues to soar -- the climb is 70 flights up the steps at the Bank of America Building in downtown Dallas! This year I am climbing in honor of my dear, sweet “sister in survival” – Lola Hope Duncan. Lola Hope was diagnosed with leukemia last year shortly after turning 3. She is currently in the maintenance portion of her therapy and will continue until February 2018. While her battle continues, she grows stronger every day! Every step of the way, I will be thinking of Lola Hope knowing that we will climb together as survivors one day! With more than 11 years blood cancer-free, I climb for LLS in the hope of helping Lola Hope, and others just like her, reach this same milestone.
As I do every year, I will climb in memory of Jo Paul Archer, a loving husband and father, and the countless others who lost their battle with blood cancer. I will be climbing alongside fellow teammates and we are all unified by the same purpose; we are climbing to save lives! With every flight we climb and every dollar we raise, we are helping the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society realize its mission to “Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.”
It is my wish that the money I raise will fund lifesaving research that will help blood cancer patients in their survivorship journeys. I will climb that last flight on January 28th, with Lola Hope in my heart, knowing that I have a made a difference in the fight against cancer, and I will need your help to reach the top.
By making a donation to support my climb, you can help raise funds for lifesaving research and patient services programs. No donation is too big or small! Thank you for the continued support!
